Why we created The List Detroit.
The List Detroit was founded in 2022, when two business owners, Vanessa and Kelly, were looking for networking events to help grow their business. They found it difficult to find a compiled list of networking events, so they made it. The purpose behind The List Detroit is to sort through the fluff and curate a list of events that bring connection, community, education, and growth.
A Networking Story.
Vanessa and Kelly, who are also founders of VanKel Brand Strategy, have their own successful networking story. Meeting at a women in digital event in 2019, they shared interests, values, and passions for branding. After a follow-up happy hour and a few coffee meetings, they decided to join forces and start a business together.
